I grew up in Wisconsin and joined the Marine Corps right out of high school. I was stationed in Washington D.C., Japan and San Diego. After four years of service, I went to college at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and graduated three years later with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism. Since college I have worked as a copy editor/page designer at newspapers in Eau Claire, Wis., and Palm Springs, Calif. Now I’m a content editor for Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, a global communications agency based in Seattle.
